A bit late but never old
'netta just sent this my way . . .
CAPTION: The Pope, wearing a fabulous vintage chiffon-lined Dior gold lame gown over a silk Vera Wang empire-waist tulle cocktail dress, accessorized with a three-foot House of Whoville hat and the ruby slippers Judy Garland wore in The Wizard of Oz, on his way to tell us it's Wrong to be Gay

How to wear a tuxedo before 5 p.m.
so, i'm prepping me wardrobe for an extended gallivant, and naturally i'm turning to The Heiress for ideas on sassy, classy to keep me from looking assy.*
* :/
presently, i'm fixating on this simple outfit:
The Heiress
* :/
presently, i'm fixating on this simple outfit:
The Heiress
super simple—with lots of elements that can be traded easily into other looks, the better for compact packing—but very different from the average tourist. and prrty.
The Rest of Us
so far i have this ASOS's blouse with lace trims and delicate pintucks in cream, $61.09

which i think is just the prettiest ever. i'll wear it over a nude or cream tank.
the pants? i'm still working on, though i have my eye on Old Navy's women's The Rock Star zip-pocket skinny pants in lively ivy, $25.00
because i really like zippers and think these would actually be truly skinny pants, but i'm unsure. i may hunt a little further for a true gray tuxedo skinny pant.
either way, i love what the mustard shoe does to the whole thing, and i already have my Ann Taylor Loft Flynn satin ballet flats in spicy mustard, $26.70
but i'm thinking hunting down something in a similar color in a more forgiving fabric will make me happier after ten-hour days of tromping around dusty sites and riding bikes.
How does she manage to wear these things and look so fresh and not stuffy?
it's her super power. it's 'cuz she's a diva. she's so much class and sass that she can make staid florals look rich.
love her.
love her.

Mmmmm, bacon
Valencia: Did you know I have a slipped disc in my neck? I've decided it's because my brain is so freaking big and brilliant.
me: dude, the bible just didn't mention the slipped discs because they thought it was demonic possession. #Theology
me: i heard something along these lines. i figured it was just a physical manifestation of your sinful nature.
Valencia: No, that would have been leprosy or similar.
Spinal cord issues don't come about because of sins.

Han's all, "Dude. She's your SISTER."

and boom operator's all, "BOOM. she just OWNED your ass, you scruffy-looking nerf herder."
